Yes it's just one more sleep till our men head off for Boot Camp!
There is bound to be so many feelings going on in households tonight. I know in ours there have. Here are a few...
Panic (well more like flurry) ...
"Where's that bag?"
"Are floral or animal alphabet sheets my only options?"
"Do you need me to get anything done for you before I go, like do you need things from a high cupboard?" (OK, odd question but I am pregnant and he has seen me stupidly stand on a fit ball to get something down from high only to get stuck getting back down in a pregnant state before!... Phew glad I got that out)
Nervousness (not really, but some)...
For first time campers and those not knowing anyone, going alone.
Also from wives I think. Maybe just me.
For me I've never been pregnant while Brad's been away. Plus as Asher is totally besotted with his dad at the moment I'm hoping he will behave!
And there's Excitement...
Excitement from the men, I mean four days (almost) with no work, totally focused on God, no distractions, no nagging wives(not that any of them would have wives that nag), no kids, no chores etc! Who wouldn't be excited. (That is why we cry when you leave men, cause we wanna go! Oh and that we will miss you. Ok, and in my case I'm hormonal!)
Seriously though, I have seen Brad go off to his fair share of Boot Camps and each time I wonder what he will be like when he comes home. I am never disappointed by the man that returns. I was recently telling a first time Boot Camper wife that no matter what happens she will have a changed man that returns! How exciting!!
My prayer, and the rest of us not going due to circumstances or gender, is that these men will experience God and all He has for them. That no matter how many times they've been before (or not), that the message God has for them each individually will not fall on deaf ears but hit straight to the heart. Also, pray for their protection and the protection of loved ones at home as this is so opposed by the enemy.
I eagerly look forward to their return on Sunday and can't wait to hear the stories, stay tuned!!
Debbie
PS Sorry if grammar or punctuation is bad but I've had to do this post from my phone, had blogger issues tonight.
